AESL CT-4

The CT-4A was a further development of the Australian built Victa
Airtourer. Aero Engine Services Ltd (AESL) bought the rights to the Aircraft
in 1966 after production ceases in Australia. Initially ordered to
fill the shortcomings in the 'all jet' flight syllabus ,then being conducted
on the Macchi MB-326 ,the CT-4A also ended up replacing the
CA-25 Winjeel in 1972. The CT-4 is no longer on RAAF charge with
the phasing out of the CT-4 in 1993. The Museums example A19-037
was built in June 1975 and was retired from RAAF service in 1993.
