DH Moth Minor
The DH-94 Moth Minor was built in Australia for the RAAF
in 1940. The RAAF originally ordered 50 airframes for ab initio
training, however only 42 were built and three were later impressed from
private use. Aircraft built for the RAAF had the serials A21-1 through
to A21-42.
The Moth Minor was found to be unsuitable for ab initio
training but still served well until replaced by the Tiger Moth.
Once replaced by the Tiger Moth the DH-94 was used by Communications units
and as General 'hack' airframes.
The Museums example A21-14 is currently under restoration to Static display
only, but may include engine runs.
