DH-82A Tiger Moth
The DH-82 Tiger Moth was built by the De Havilland Co Pty Ltd at Mascot
NSW for the RAAF's Empire Air Training Scheme. Initially used as a Basic
Trainer for potential Aircrew, the Tiger Moth's versatility saw it being
adapted for Communication , Ambulance, Supply, Reconnaissance and even
as a last resort with the addition of bomb racks--- light bomber!!
Post War, many Tiger Moths were sold to flying schools and
private individuals due to its popularity , robustness and ease of maintenance.
